A still, lonely figure on the crossroads. Yeah, that’s you-standing there, all by yourself, smiling gallantly, looking at the distant figures, walking away from you. Well, it’s time. Time to move on, AGAIN.
All through your life, there will be moments when you will be surrounded by people, your well-wishers too, maybe but you will feel distraught and distant. Your face will have a smile, but your eyes will be desperately looking for someone. Someone who would look right through the fake smile. A friend? A lover? A guardian? Someone! Anyone?
Sounds depressing, isn’t it? Well, it is.
So for me, happiness is a presence. Presence of a person who makes it all worth. A friend, a lover, family, anyone. Someone with whom you can enjoy moments with genuine smiles on your faces. Someone who can listen to the words you will never say out loud. Someone with whom, it all makes sense. A presence which may or may not be always by your side but always stays with you. Find that presence and you will find happiness my friend.
