three line tales, week 162: people browsing a book stall

“So the new ones become a part of the “rails” on either side, and the old ones just get thrown in the middle, but why?”

“No reason.”, He smiled.

After all, not everyone could see it – those paper rails, that withering paperback bedrock and the ever-flowing river of ink.
